Commit & Rest

Proverbs 16:3 states, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." In the original Hebrew the word "establish" means "to confirm, to direct, to ordain, to order, to prepare, and to perfect." If we remember to commit everything we do to the Lord, then God Himself will confirm, direct, and perfect our plans and our thoughts. Each of us makes plans every day. Don't we want God to direct us in case He has a different and better plan? If your answer is "yes," then all you have to do is to remember to commit your ways to

Him daily. Once you have done this, then REST in all of His promises. May each of us commit 2007 to our wonderful God as we seek to draw nearer to Him.
